Bethesda Community Groups are a committed group of God’s people, who are connected to the local church, who seek to carry out God’s purposes of community and mission by God’s power, and who are motivated by God’s gospel. While our Worship Gathering, Life Groups and Bethesda Institute are places for training and equipping the saints for the work of the ministry (air war,) our Community Groups are places for community and mission where the saints do the work of the ministry (ground war.) The Community Groups seek to answer the question “What does it look like to be a genuine community of gospel-centered people who are on mission, seek to love the city, and be satisfied with Jesus Christ alone?” A few more questions they seek to answer is “What does it look like for us to follow Jesus together in central Indiana?” and “What does it look like to be missionaries to central Indiana?” For more information about Community Groups, please email the Deacon of Community Groups, Nathan Johns (firstname.lastname@example.org.)
BethesdaInstitute, our educational evening, is designed for people of all ages who want to learn the truths about God, His message, and how it affects every aspect of life and relationships. Each quarter is seven weeks in length. Three to four different courses are offered. Courses are held on Wednesday evenings, from 6:30-8:00 pm. All ages are welcome, and childcare is provided.
Our mission is to move women by God’s grace into Christ’s likeness. Our vision is for women of all ages and stages of life to gather and study God’s Word together; to encourage one another to discover, embrace, and delight in God’s unique design and plan for women.
We meet once a quarter on Sunday evenings at 6:00 pm. Our goal is for the women of our church and community – of all ages and in every stage of life – to learn together how to become more like Christ in every part of our lives, and in so doing, bring glory to Him!
Childcare available on an individual basis.
Journey for Moms is a ministry designed for moms at various stages in their journey of being a wife and a mother. We will be encouraged and challenged in our spiritual walks through guest speakers, devotions, discussions, service projects, and fellowship. At the same time, children ages 0 – 12 enjoy their own classes with Bible lessons, crafts, songs, and activities. Journey for Moms meetings take place the second Thursday of the month, September – May, in the Fellowship Center, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. There is a one-time registration fee for the year of $10.00.
As men, we are created to be leaders. Often our biggest leadership challenge is our understanding and view of God. Join other men from our community as we learn about the varying Attributes of God and how understanding Who He is will help us grow in our relationship with Him. We will meet the first Friday of the month at 6:00 am for one hour for a hearty breakfast, connection with other men, and a message from God’s Word. Enter Door #6 Fellowship Center. A suggested donation of $3 will be gratefully accepted.
Have you been coming for a while and believe that Bethesda is a community of believers you want to be involved in? Begin the process of membership. This class occurs periodically through the year.
